More and more businesses are recognising the value of modeling their business processes. This is often in conjunction with broader initiatives such as Six Sigma and Business Excellence which aligns to the US Baldrige criteria. Software Education’s Business Process Modeling course is aimed at organisations of all sizes – irrespective of whether they have none, some or all of their processes already documented.
During the course participants learn to use a structured, disciplined approach to understanding business process models through eliciting, analysing, documenting and validating business processes. Particular emphasis is placed on identifying measurable end-to-end business processes, ensuring alignment to the business in meeting defined goals and objectives.
The output from the process is a model that depicts the sequence of activities, from an initiating event, that results in an outcome of value to the organisation that can be managed, monitored and supported.
The course uses industry recognised standards to depict business process models. It draws upon both local and international good practice to provide a range of techniques and methods for conducting business process analysis. 
This course is endorsed by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA™). It provides material and skills relevant to the Requirements Analysis and Documentation Business Analysis Body of Knowledge™(BABOK™) knowledge area.
